Universal light bulb holder - allows different sockets to be latched into base unit

The electrical light bulb holder consists of a socket unit (6) and a base (4). The base has two spring contact arms that receive the pins (7) of the inserted socket element. The socket latches into position on the base. The spring arms project from terminal blocks which allow wire connections to be made. Within the socket the connecting pins has pressed metal elements (8, 9) to engage with the centre and side contacts of the inserted light bulb. ADVANTAGE - Allows different socket elements to be used to suit different size bulbs.
