摘要 PURPOSE:To improve an information recording medium layer in durability and reflectance by a method wherein the information recording medium layer contains a mixture of a naphthalocyanine derivative having a predetermined value or less of a thermal decomposition initiating temperature and a crystalline dye having a predetermined value or more of a thermal decomposition initiating temperature. CONSTITUTION:An optical information recording medium is produced by forming an information recording layer on a substrate. The information recording medium layer contains a mixture of a naphthalocyanine derivative having a thermal decomposition initiating temperature of 300 deg.C or lower and a crystalline dye having a thermal decomposition initiating temperature of 350 deg.C or higher and can be read out by a 0.5-3.0mW laser light. By using such a series as a mixture of the naphthalocyanine derivative and the heat quencher, the optical information recording medium can be provided with the film on the substrate by a spin coating method or a dip coating method. The obtained film exhibits a good read-out optical stability of 10<6> times or more per 1mW to a light in a semiconductor laser oscillating wavelength region. The medium can be favorably used as an additionally-writable optical information recording medium.
