It consists of a telescopic gear lever (Fig. 1.a) provided at its base with an armoured box with sliding lid in which the lever is inserted once it has been folded (Fig. 1.b). Application to the automotive industry. It prevents unauthorized persons being able to move the vehicle, since they do not have possible access to the gearbox. The folding/unfolding of the lever and the sliding of the lid of the box may be manual, or automatic with the installation of a motor. There is a simpler variant which lacks an armoured box in which the gear lever, also foldable, is anchored to the chassis of the vehicle once folded, being embedded completely in it. It is possible to extend the action of the locking to the hand brake in order to enhance immobilization. <IMAGE>
