An adjustable adaptor, for connecting a range of electronic components (11), e.g. resistors, chokes, transformers, etc., of differing size, rating and pin configurations to measurement/test appts. has a fixed (1) and a sliding (2) contact block operated by pneumatic cylinders (19,22). The test component (110 is located in an interchangeable receptacle (3) with pins (6) projecting to contact pneumatically operated needle contacts (5). Size contact with pins (6) is effected by multiple assemblies of pneumatically operated (19,22) contacts (15a,15b,16a,16b) with projecting solder tags (17) designed to accommodate a wide range of test component (11) dimensions. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduces checking time of widely differing electronic components as result of universal nature of adaptor. Ensures inductive effects of magnetic components and test instruments cannot interact to generate errors. Three separate contact systems permit pre-magnetisation of components where required independent of voltage and current measuring circuits.
