The invention relates to a floor for a set of contiguous maternity pens, especially for a pigsty, comprising a succession of self-supporting pierced plates (2, 3) of elongate shape, resting by their transverse edges on support means such as projecting edges (5, 6) provided on the side walls of a ditch (7), the said pierced plates (2, 3) being formed by longitudinal strips (8) supported by crosspieces (9). It is characterised in that, between two self-supporting pierced plates (2, 3) there is provided a pierced plate made of plastic (10) resting, by virtue of support means (12), on two pierced plates (2, 3) which are adjacent in the succession, a self-supporting pierced plate (2, 3) and the contiguous half of the pierced plate (10) forming the floor of a pen. <IMAGE>
