High permeability ferrite granulate - is produced using dry mixing of starting materials with small added quantity of zinc-stearate

A granulate for the mfr. of high permeability Mn-Zn ferrite is formed by mixing of the raw materials, pelletisation, presintering, (esp. wet) grinding, mixed with binder and spray-dried. The process featurese dry mixing of the raw materials after addition of Zn-stearate in a concn. of pref. 0.2-0.3 wt.%. The grinding after presintering is pref. carried out with a high solid content using organic solvents. USE/ADVANTAGE - The new process avoids wet mixing of the starting materials and subsequent drying, which is replaced by the much less costly fluid mixing. The presence of the Zn-stearate avoids the sticking of the powders.
