Reducing internal stresses of ceramic rollers in high temp. furnace - by side loading with rods to produce bending moment over rollers
摘要
Rollers have their internal stresses reduced by producing a bending moment on the roller via a rod which is inserted in one or both ends of the roller such that the larger part of its weight is arranged on the outside of the roller bearing. USE/ADVANTAGE - In furnaces for hardening metals or firing porcelain, ceramic and tiles where temp. of 1000 deg.C are used. Extends the working life of the rollers. The rods (1) can be fixed in position inside rollers (4) by pins (5) and can be fitted with counter weights (9) along the length of the rod protruding from the rollers.
