PURPOSE:To enable an operator to arbitrarily change one assist gaseous pressure during laser processing and to execute processing always under an optimum gaseous pressure by providing a means for preferentially controlling the assist gaseous pressure in an input/output control device of the controller. CONSTITUTION:A CRT control section converts the electric signal sent from a main control section 100 and displays the same as an image on a CRT display device 145. The input/output control device 150 has the preferential control means for the assist gaseous pressure, i.e. an override switch 160. For example, the controller has a pair of push button switches 160U and 160D and has the function to increase an output voltage when the up button 160U is pushed and to drop the output voltage when the down button 160D is pushed. The input/output control device 150 has a D/A converter 170. The command voltage subjected to an analog conversion by this converter is sent via a line 172 to an electropneumatic regulator 70 which in turn controls the assist gaseous pressure. The controller updates the memory by the overridden pressure signal and utilizes the same for subsequent processing and, therefore, there is no need for rewriting the assist gaseous pressure within the program and the program is executed always under the optimum gaseous pressure. |
