The screwdriver, etc. has a handle (2) with a number of pockets (3) for storing interchangeable blades (4). The pockets are equispaced on a circle concentric with the handle axis (x-x). The blades ae retained in the pockets by a secletion ring (8) and a cap (9). The latter is secured to the central shaft (11) by a snap-action fastener, which permits the cap to rotate w.r.t. the handle. The selection ring is fastened to the central shaft in a similar manner and has an eccentric hole (10). After the cap has been removed, the selection ring is rotated to align the hole with the pocket which holds the required blade.
