Combination prods. comprise (A) cyanoacrylate adhesive (B) primer contg. at least one imidazole deriv. (I), where R1 = H, alkyl opt. substd. by an OH or by (alkyl-O)3Si- (where alkyl has 1-4C), 7-10C aralkyl, or imidazole-CO-; R2 = H, or alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl of up to 17C; one of R1 and R2 having aromatic character X = -CH=CH- or -CR3R4-CR5R6-, where R3, R4, R5, and R6 = H, 1-4C alkyl, or aralkyl of up to 17 C. Primers for bonding together synthetic plastic adherends, contg. at least one (I) in polar organic solvent which evaporates at room temp., are also claimed.
