A stand for clothing, partic. trousers, is employed in the finishing stages of mfr. On the base plate is a movable appliance to position a pneumatic cylinder to actuate extendable blades, hinged at the centre of gravity. These fit closely into each leg and form the line down which the trouser will be pressed. The body of the trouser is suspended from the stand. ADVANTAGE - The appliance avoids a time consuming and inaccurate manual process.
