A press for the prodn. of thin press material, esp. laminate material, includes a press frame, a press upper section and lower section as well as endless steel press bands which are driven over drums. The press frame consists of numerous elements which connect the upper and lower press sections. The steel bands form a gap, and each gap has an associated distance band with a loop section. The distance bands are designed so that they also act as limiting bands for the material to be pressed. ADVANTAGE - The press is designed so that each gap has an easily changeable distance band. (1/2)
