PURPOSE:To execute an alignment operation accurately and efficiently by a method wherein, on the basis of positional information which has been read out by using a camera used to read out the position of a cavity or a chip-shaped electronic component inside the cavity, the relative positional relationship between a suction head and the chip-shaped electronic component in an electronic- component series is adjusted. CONSTITUTION:A camera 40 which is used to read out the position of a cavity 4 or a chip-shaped electronic component 2 inside the cavity 4 in an electronic- component series 1 on a positioning stand 13 of a cassette 10 is installed; the image of the chip-shaped electronic component 2 being sucked by using a suction head 8 and its periphery is picked up; and the chip-shaped electronic component 2, the cavity 4 which receives it, a feed hole 5 and the like are displayed on a display image 42 on a CRT monitor 41 by means of the camera 40. Such an image data is processed by using a controller 43; its processed result is fed back to a control system for an X-motor 33 and a Y-motor 34; the X-motor 33 is driven by this fed-back signal so as to be aligned in a proper position; and the Y-motor 34 is driven minutely as required. |
