The invention relates to a method for sheeting walls consisting in constructing, on the ground, a reaction element (1) extending to the internal limit of the trench zone, in fixing to the reaction element (1) sinking portal frames (2), capable of holding up a section (12) arranged vertically and including means (9) for vertical displacement of the said section then, in successive widthwise strips, in embanking under the reaction element (1) a wall height which is compatible with the type of ground, in arranging against this wall, sliding bearing blocks (17) extending perpendicularly to the sections (12), in securing a section (12) to a sinking portal frame (2) and in making the latter be lowered along the sliding bearing blocks (17), in carrying out the same operation by means of a sinking portal frame (2) close to the aforementioned one, and in constructing, between the two sunk sections (12) a sheeting wall secured to the said sections. <IMAGE>
