PURPOSE:To shorten a required time for control motion, and heighten control accuracy and stability of an image density by fixing a manipulated variable of an operating means based on density information of a plurality of the image densities. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive body with standard exposure, and an operating means for varying an image density on the basis of detected image density information is operated so that a detected value of the image density at the time of visualization becomes equal to a specific set value. When manipulated variables DELTAm1 - DELTAmn of which amount varies values m1 - mn of a plurality of operating means M1 - Mn are fixed in relation to varied range (slippage) DELTAD1 - DELTADn from set values of the image density D1 - Dn of plural numbers (n) in standard exposure, the manipulated variable of one of the operating means is fixed on the basis of the density information of a plurality of the image densities as shown by expressions I so that an effect of one of the operating means does not cause a harmful effect to control effects of other operating means. Where f1 - fn in the expressions represent functions to be fixed according to characteristics of the image forming device. |
