A clutch amplifier for motor vehicles with a pneumatic- hydraulic or just a pneumatic action has in the pneumatic section a hydraulic clutch wear take-up device in the link to the clutch lever. The re-setting device consists of a hydraulic column in a cylinder which can be moved by the working piston. This acts as a click-and-ratchet device and transfers the force of the actuating piston to the working lever connected to the clutch lever. The chamber for the hydraulic medium inside the cylinder can be joined by a resetting valve which acts on the slider principle as a function of the displacement in conjuction with a chamber when the working piston returns. This is limited by a spring-loaded compensation piston. The actuating piston carries a seal consisting of an O-ring and another PTFE ring.
