<p>The invention relates to a fuel tank inlet cover for an automotive vehicle, comprising a gate (4) connected, on the one hand, through articulation means (5) and, on the other hand, by elastic means (6) in the form of a ''U''-shaped strip capable of holding the said gate (4) in the closed position and in the open position, to a footing (7) securely fastened to the bodywork (3) of the said automotive vehicle. This cover is noteworthy in that the said articulation means (5) comprise means (89) for offsetting, in the plane (90) of the bodywork (3) and perpendicular to the latter, the axis of rotation of the gate (4) during the opening of the latter, these means (89) being composed of the combination of said elastic means (6) acting on means (61) for actuating the said footing (7) and of the cooperation of a pair of cams (11, 12) associated with the gate (4) and a pair of bearing ramps (44, 45) securely fastened to this footing (7). <IMAGE></p> |
