Side panels for underside of vehicle chassis - are attached to tubular support frame and there are clip fastenings for panels

The bottom part of the vehicle, between the wheels, is fitted with a tubular frame (8) to which are clipped side panels (3). These protect pedestrians etc. from running under the vehicle e.g. a large truck, and streamline the vehicle. The panels are removable to access storage lockers, spare wheels etc. The tubular frames (8) have horizontal rails (11,15) along which the panels can slide. The panels are fitted via clips (12). The upper mounting can be flexible (14) to enable the panels to be swung up for access to the chassis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple fitting of protective panels under vehicle chassis. No restrictions to access to chassis, increased safety for pedestrians.
