The system includes at least one rotatable head (59-63) which moves a pivotable cutting and clinching member in the direction of a shearing plate. The circuit board (72) remains stationary and the cutting head (59-63) moves across it along two axes. The system has a flat housing (8) closed on all four sides. The lower wall (9) is such that after being cut off the projecting ends of the wires slide towards the front edge into a disposal channel (10). This channel can be removed and emptied after full rotation of the housing (8). The circuit board (72) can be inserted in the upper wall (11) of the housing (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - When mounting components on circuit boards legs are cut as short as possible and bent after insertion to prevent them falling out and from short circuiting. Can use readily available unadapted circuit boards.
