Connection device for fibre-optic cables, being essentially composed of two half-cases (11, 12) which may be assembled and which contain means (14) ensuring the connection to an assembly (13) provided for several optical fibres and means ensuring the connection to a plurality of assemblies (19) provided for a single optical fibre (17), the half-cases (11, 12) being formed so as to constitute a cavity (18) provided for containing a plurality of optical fibres (17), the cavity (18) essentially having an annular shape and having a width greater than the thickness determined by the plurality of separated optical fibres (17) inside the device, the optical fibres (17) inside the connection device connecting the means (14) ensuring the connection to an assembly (13) provided for several optical fibres and the means ensuring the connection to a plurality of assemblies (19) provided for a single optical fibre (17), having a length greater than the minimum opened-out length (development) of the annular cavity (18).
