Mixing and ventilation of the waste materials are assisted by rotation of the composting container which is tightly sealed, preventing any anaerobic condition occurring in any part of it. The intermediate wall initially divides the container into a small space which produces a high temp. and thereby a rapid process, the volume being regulated by moving the wall. Immediately in front of the wall near to one of the gables of the container is a space for filling commencement. From this space the material is mixed with ready-made compost to promote the decomposition process. |
