PURPOSE:To prepare the title color exhibiting a sharp absorption and high fastness to light and heat by coupling a specific coupler with a specific developing agent. CONSTITUTION:The title color of formula V or VI is prepd. by oxidatively coupling a coupler of formula I or II with a developing agent of formula III or by condensing the coupler of formula I or II with a compd. of formula IV. In those formulas X is H or a group to be eliminated in 10 the coupling reaction; R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, and R<4> are each H or a group of nonmetallic atoms; R<5> and R<6> are each H, alkyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic ring; R<7> is an electron-attracting group having a Hammett substituent constant sigmap of 0.15 or higher; and R<8> and R<9> are each H or a group of nonmetallic atoms. |
