Jack and test plug.

A plug and jack combination where the plug includes a printed wiring board (942) sandwiched between two halves of a shell (948, 947). A first surface (941) of the board has first and second contact areas (961, 964) which engage electrical contacts within the jack. A keeper spring (948) is mounted within the shell for retaining the plug within the jack. A service cord (950) is provided so that the tip and ring conductors of the cord make contact with the first and second contact areas, and the grounding shield of the cord makes contact with the keeper spring.
