An Elizabethan type collar 10 for mounting around the neck of an animal that comprises a flexible web 12 having a first end portion 18 and second end portion 22, a fastener 14 comprising a base portion (60 figure 2a), an attachment plate (97 figure 97) and a fastening portion (62 figure 2a). The first end portion of the web is attached to the fastener between the base portion and the attachment plate and the second end portion is attached to the fastener between the attachment plate and the fastening portion to form a collar around the neck of an animal. The fastener base portion may comprise one or more attachment members (70, 72, 74 figure 2b) which in use extend through one or more fastening apertures in the first end portion 24, 26, 28. Also disclosed is a fastener suitable for attaching first end portion to a second end portion. |
