Storage battery has an inverted U-shaped cover with open ends and which is sufficiently flexible to allow flattening without adversely affecting its structural integrity. Pref. the cover is sufficiently resilient to return to its original shape even when flattened for a long time. The cover material can be low density polyethylene. -
