The output/collecting station has a mechanism for ejecting printed material eg. individual sheets or forms of various sizes. The collecting surface (8) is sloped against the direction of transport (3) and its contour across the direction (3) changes progressively from a flat plane at the entry edge (17) to an increasingly concave surface of parabolic form in a series of steps (22,23,24) up to the limiting edge (10). The pivots (14) and support pillar (15) enables the complete surface (8) to be adjusted to slope w.r.t. the baseline (9) and the individual steps (22,23,24) can be arranged to telescope together as a collapsible assembly. USE/ADVANTAGE - For printing e.g. cheques, accounts control slips, air tickets, tickets with bar-code, freight forms, booking forms, luggage tickets etc. Provides improved access and handle-ability for finished document off-loading over wide range of lengths and widths. Long sheets are progressively curved by surface so that overhang beyond limiting edge is sufficiently stable to be self-supporting, thus facilitating convenient removal. |
