A clock which consists of a front frame (11) constituting a clock body, a rear frame (35) fixed to the front frame, a transparent dial plate (17) fixed to the front frame and having a graduation drawn on the circumferential portion thereof and representing months and days, a star chart (15) held rotatably on the dial plate and having an annular toothed member (63) on the circumference, retaining members (71, 79) provided on the rear surface of the dial plate and adapted to rotatably guide and retain the circumference of the star chart, and a driving mechanism (75) provided on the rear surface of the dial plate, engaged with the annular toothed member and capable of rotating the star chart. The application also discloses a driving device of a clock with a star chart having a solar and sidereal time display (27). This display (27) comprises solar time display part and a sidereal time display part both driven by one oscillator circuit (203) having an oscillator (201). The driving device further has frequency dividers (205, 207, 209, 211) for producing solar and sidereal time displays from the output of the oscillator circuit. |
