The peeler, especially paring-knife for removing the outer skin (12) of citrous fruit (13) has a U-shaped cutting-edge (9) with adjacent guide-duct (11). The dust is at an acute angle (alpha) to the plane (E) of the peeler. The cutting edge and the guide-duct have a diametrically opposite further cutting edge (17) and guide-duct (16). A curved piece (4) supports the cutter (9,11;16,17). The peeler has a spherical handle (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - The peeler requires little force and lifts the peel right off the citrous fruit by its blade being at a tangent to the peel and held there constantly.
