Air-dried phthalic enamels containing a film forming substances, pigments, fillers, solvents and drying catalysts, characterised in that as a film forming substance they contain fatty phthalic resin obtained from 62-66 parts by weight of isomerised low erucic acid rapeseed oil, comprising 19-23% by weight of conjugated unsaturated fatty acid triglycerides, 0.02-0.03 parts by weight of lithium hydroxide, 13-11 parts by weight of polyhydroxy alcohols containing at least two hydroxide groups in the molecule, preferably pentaerythritol, and 25-23 parts by weight of phthalic acid anhydride.
