In a method for the installation of electrical equipment or the like, such as leads, contacts, switches, etc., in the partition walls of a building, a fixing device 1 is arranged at the site of a future, but still only indicated, 3 partition wall, which fixing device extends down from the ceiling of the building, thereby attaching boxes 5, 6, 7, etc., onto cable conduits 8 supported on the fixing device 1, which boxes are attached in predetermined positions in the future partition wall. By the method according to the invention a method is achieved for erecting both outer layers of partition walls which can be carried out in a single operation, without intermediate waiting times for preparatory electrical installations.
