A device for conveying an object along a guide track, which device substantially comprises a frame belonging to the said track, a driven, flexible, elongate element, such as a chain, which is supported by the frame, at least one carrier which is attached to the said elongate element and is provided with an arm which is coupled thereto in such a manner that it can pivot about a pin and has a pressure surface for pushing the object along the track, the arm, beyond the pivot pin, being extended by a projection, and the frame being provided with one or more stops in the movement path of the projection, for the purpose of pivoting the arm and guiding its pressure surface away from the guide track, thus allowing the arm to be lifted easily, since the projection follows the direction of movement.
