摘要 A laser rangefinding electro-optical sight (22) for targeting projectiles from a projectile launcher. A semiconductor laser based range finding system (24) is located proximate to a sight (40). The laser range finding system (24) includes a laser source (82) for generating at least an electromagnetic pulse directed at a target, an optical receiver (26) adjacent to the laser source (82) for detecting pulse energy reflected from the target and a targeting control processor for determining the range to the target using the eletromagnetic pulse and the reflected energy. An array of light emitting diodes (76) are disposed along the longitudinal axis inside the sight (40). A reflective image plate (78) is located inside the sight inclined above the diode array (76) to reflect light from the diodes onto the front lens (72). One or more of the diodes which correspond to the calculated range is energized. The reflected light from the energized diode operates as a target alignment marker. The vertical position of the target alignment marker determines the elevation of the projectile launcher in relation to the target line of sight.
