A transfer table (8) for transferring a plurality of containers, flasks or the like has a table surface (13) with a slide (14) that moves back and forth on the transfer table (8) and a marginal section (31) that can swing around an axis (34) parallel to the edge of the table surface (13) and over which the containers (15) are moved from the table surface (13) of the transfer table (8) on to a support surface (3), or vice-versa. In order to ensure the trouble-free transfer of the containers from the table surface of the transfer table to other support surfaces, the marginal section (31) is subdivided into a plurality of tongues (33) which can independently swivel around the axis (34).
