An inorganic artificial stone for construction, which is composed of 12 75 wt.% cullet, 5 55 wt.% clay, 3 40 wt.% silica sand, 1 20 wt.% binder and 0 5 wt.% coloring agent, is prepared by (1) mixing the said raw materials with water, (2) drying, (3) pressure molding under 200 600 kgf/cm2, and (4) sintering in the temperature range of 650 950 for 30 minutes 6 hours. The used binder is phosphate or a salt of alkali or alkaline earth phosphate, aluminum phosphate, polyvinyl alcohol, methyl cellulose, polyvinyl batiral, carboxy methyl cellulose and polyethylene glycol or acryl resin. And the coloring agent is selected from titanium dioxide, iron oxide, chromium oxide and metallic oxide of cobalt blue.
