PURPOSE:To attain the reduction of an inverter generation loss and the reduction of accessory loss of a cooling device in an inverter device controlling an AC power output of a load being an object of control in accordance with the amplitude of the load. CONSTITUTION:DC capacitors 8a, 8b and 8c and unit inverters 9a, 9b and 9c are separated into three groups. In the case when the amount of a load being an object of control is lighter than 1/3 of a rated value, for instance, only the unit inverter 9a is made to conduct a switching operation, while the remaining unit inverters 9b and 9c are controlled to be in a standby state in which the switching operation is stopped. |
