A wound remedy containing as the active ingredient a peptide derivative related to a calcitonin gene, represented by general formula (I), or a salt thereof, wherein R represents Ala-NH-, Ser-NH-, NH2 or H; Y represents S or CH2; A represents Asp or Asn; B represents Gly, Asp or Glu; C represents Leu or Phe; D represents Val or Met; E represents Val or Gly; F represents Asn, Ser or Asp; G represents Asn or Asp; and I represents Lys or Glu. The administration of the remedy to the affected part intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously or as an external preparation serves to promote the reepithelialization, granulation and arterialization of the wound, and remarkably inhibit inflammatory cellular infiltration, thus being useful for curing the wound. |
