Well pumping system has a pump comprising a stator (17), a rotor (20) and rods (12) which connect the pump to the surface and which are rotated by a surface drive for driving the rotor. The novelty is that the pump includes a maintenance and transmission mechanism (13), which cooperates with the rods, rotor and stator, and that the rods (12) allow injection from the surface of a fluid which circulates through the mechanism (13). ADVANTAGE - The design allows injection from the surface of a lubricant which circulates through the rotor mounting, allows incorporation of a speed multiplier to achieve high pump output with reasonable rod rotational speed and allows mixing of the injected fluid with the well product to improve pumping yield.
