The present invention relates to measuring equipment for chains, such as telpher chains. This equipment comprises a measuring wheel or measuring roll (4) for insertion into a link (6) in a chain under tension of load, the wheel, etc. being arranged to be inserted into the link (6) to make contact with the two adjacent links (7, 8). The insertion depth is thus a gauge of the wear on the first-mentioned link (6) and/or the adjacent links (7, 8). The wheel/roll (4) is connected to a measuring device (3) for indication of the degree of insertion. |
