A circular saw arrangement with a worktop (1) pivoting between a first position for mitering and a second position for use as a bench circular saw has on one side of the worktop (1) a mitering bench (2) pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the main plane of the worktop, on which a saw unit rotatably bearing a driven saw blade (11) is secured. On their sides facing away from each other, the mitering bench (2) and the worktop (1) form support surfaces (3, 5) for a workpiece. In the mitering position, the saw blade (11) can be lowered into a slot (13) in the mitering bench, while in the bench saw position in which the support surface (3) of the worktop (1) is facing upwards it projects beyond this support surface (3). To be able to make the mitering bench (2) relatively high yet also provide an adequate projection of the saw blade (11) over the support surface (3) of the worktop (1), there is a recess (30) in the support surface (5) of the mitering bench (2) into which at least part of the securing arrangement of the saw blade can extend in the bench sawing position. In addition, the axis of the pivot bearing (16) of the worktop is preferably centered between the support surfaces (3, 5) of the worktop (1) and mitering bench (2). |
