A process for the preparation of the general formula R1-NHCONH-R2 wherein R1 is phenyl, alkylphenyl to dialkylphenyl, alkylnaphthyl to dialkylnaphthyl, where alkyl has from 1 to 12 carbons and R2 is hydrogen or phenyl, alkylphenyl to dialkylphenyl, alkylnaphthyl to dialkylnaphthyl, where alkyl has from 1 to 12 carbons, by means of carbonylation at temperature from 60 to 220 degrees Celsius and pressure from 0.2 to 30 MPa, under the influence of carbon monoxide-containing gas on an aromatic nitrocompound and water and/or on an aminoacids containing substance, preferably ammonia or aromatic amine at a water-, and/or said aminoacids containing substance-to-aromatic nitrocompound ratio ranging from 1 to 10 : 1, in the presence of a catalytic system, optionally in a solvent; which system can be an elemental sulphur and/or sulphur compounds having a mole weight ranging from 34 to 80 gmol-1 in an alkaline medium, in an amount from 0.1 to 10 wt%, relative to the weight of said aromatic nitrocompound, and, optionally, an aprotic terc. amine in an amount ranging from 0.5 to 20 wt%, relative to the weight of said aromatic nitrocompound, optionally, from a bivalent to quinquevalent vanade compound in an amount ranging from 0.01 to 5 wt%, relative to the weight of said aromatic nitrocompound; whereas the products, unconverted initial materials and catalytic system residuals are separated. Said aprotic terc. amine can be aliphatic and/or cyclic. At least one bivalent to quinquevalent vanade compound can be present in the catalytic system.
|
