The present invention relates to a safety device for a hydraulic receiver of the type including a safety valve (15) located at the inlet of the said receiver. This device is characterised in that the safety valve (15) includes a first orifice (51) connected to the inlet of the receiver and a second orifice (37) ending in a valve seat (39), the passage of which is controlled by a moving shutter (41) urged by elastic shut-off means (47) tending to apply the said shutter (41) onto its seat (39), and a valve (22) is located on the hydraulic fluid return circuit, able to maintain a residual pressure, or pilot pressure, sufficient to keep the shutter (41) in the open state. <IMAGE>
