An inhibitor to IL8 receptor-binding comprising an antibody or fragment thereof that is capable of interacting with the amino-terminal extracellular domain of an IL8 receptor and that is capable of competing with IL8 for binding to the receptor, wherein the antibody is obtainable by immunising a mammal with an immunogen that consists essentially of a polypeptide selected from F-E-D-F-W-K-G-E-D-L-S-N-Y-S-Y, S-S-T-L-P-P-F-L-L-D-A-A-P-C and F-L-L-D-A-A-P-C-E-P-E-S-L-E-I. The antibodies are useful modulators of IL8 receptor-mediated biological activity. |
