A system and apparatus for atmospheric water generation using alternative cold sources provides a thermally conductive thermal transfer media of carbon graphitic foam for capturing cold energy by direct or indirect exposure thereto, transferring the cold energy to a condenser exposed to air having moisture, and for condensing the moisture from the air into liquid and collecting the liquid water.

1. A system and apparatus for producing liquid water from surrounding moisture containing air comprising in combination:
a container defining an interior volume separated from the surrounding moisture containing air and at least one port communicating between the surrounding air and the interior volume; an air moving means communicating with the volume to move air into and out of the volume; a source of cold, the cold having a temperature lower than a dewpoint temperature of surrounding moisture containing air; a condenser formed at least partially of thermal transfer media carried within the volume and communicating with the source of cold to draw the cold into the condenser, disburse the cold throughout the condenser and to reduce temperature of the moisture containing air within the volume to at least the air's dew-point; and a fluid collection basin to collect liquid water condensed from the moisture containing air.
