The annealing method comprises maintaining the steel plate at 1180-1140 deg.C in continuous anneal furnace using coke oven gas as a fuel. The steel plate includes (in wt.) up to 0.08% C, 16-20 % Cr, 8-11% Ni, up to 0.1% N, up to 1.0% Si, up to 2.0% Mn, up to 0.005% B, up to 0.3% Ti and balance Fe with inevitable impurities. An atmosphere of the annealing furnace consists of (in vol.) 5.0-7.0% CO2, 14.0-20.0% H2O, 3.0-8.0% excess oxygen and balance N2. The annealed steel plate has enhanced acid cleaning characteristic.
