The machine for handling chicks is designed to place the chicks into the raising units, by means of a motorised platform (B), which is edged by two rolling belts (C). The platform is extended by means of a bridge section (A), which is designed as an extension leaf for use in certain situations, such as to aid loading. Cases full of chicks are removed from the transport vehicle and loaded onto the platform, plus the extension bridge if required. The chicks are then unloaded from the cases onto the rolling belts, which then transports them to their destination. The front end of the rolling belts is adjustable for height by means of the pivot (2).
