The valve has a housing with pressure chamber. The chamber has an intake to form a fluid connection between pressure chamber and combustion chamber of the engine. A chamber outlet forms a fluid connection between pressure chamber and atmosphere. An intake valve acts with the intake to generate a gas flow A discharge acts with the outlet, to permit limited gas flow through the outlet when open, but blocks the flow, when the outlet is closed. An elastic power element pretensions the discharge valve in the open position. Gas pressure in the pressure chamber overcomes the element to move the valve into a closed position. |
