The wagon runs on rails (47), mounted on the ground, with an actuator (40) mounted adjacent to the rails. The actuator extends towards the wagon and connects with an operating mechanism (41), on the wagon. Data relative to a location (X1,Y1) on the wagon is registered in a memory and a feeler finger contacts a reference (44) on the wagon.This automatically locates the wagon position, in the memory and controls the movement of the actuator appropriately, to unload the wagon. The feeler may be a retractable arm positioned at wagon wheel level. The wagon may comprise hoppers, with bottom gravity discharge controlled by a spigot (72) operated valve, rotated by a slotted (70) disc (71) on the actuator.
