The preparation contains a vitamin D analogue (calcipotriol) which has only moderate activity on the calcium metabolism when compared to 1,25-(OH)2 D3, but has retained the ability to activate receptors for 1,25-(OH)2 D3 not associated with calcium absorption or bone calcium mobilization.</p> |
