An auxiliary tool for facilitating holding the flange of the glass cylinder by fingers, which is hard to break upon application of a strong force. The tool comprises a flange piece (11) having a larger diameter than that of a flange (5) of a cylinder (2), a holding piece (18) having a mounting hole (19) which is slightly larger than a cylinder body (3), the flange piece (11) and holding piece (18) being integrally formed of a hard material, an annular step (14) formed on an end of the mounting hole (19) on the flange piece side and adapted to be substantially closely fitted on the flange (5), a circumferential ridge (20) formed on the mounting hole (19) to circumscribe the cylinder body (3), and an opening (21) having a somewhat smaller width than a semi-circumference of the cylinder body (3) to make the entire length of the mounting hole (19) opened to one side, whereby the auxiliary tool is mounted to the cylinder body (3) sideways and the flange piece (11) is held by fingers for operation of dosage. |
