The present invention is directed to a diagnostic imaging agent which comprises an oligomer metal complex compound having a molecular weight of 1000 to 10000 and having 2 to 10 functional groups reactive with a bifunctional ligand, wherein at least one type of and two or more bifunctional ligands are coupled to said organic compound, said organic compound, after coupled to said bifunctional ligands, having at least one hydroxyl group, and said organic compound being coordinated with at least one type of and two or more metal ions.
